Big Salty clothing policy

All our clothing is ethically sourced and complies with the Fair Wear Foundation. We recognise that consideration for the environment is an integral part of our operations. We look to work as efficiently as possible and urge our staff to consider the environmental impact of their actions.

Fair Wear Foundation
To help tackle the social injustice often seen in manufacturing, commonly known as sweatshop labour, we only source products where the manufacturing supply chain is assessed by an independent audit by the Fair Wear Foundation. The FWF exists to promote fair labour conditions in the clothing industry. In a nutshell, we have a Zero Tolerance policy with regard to the following minimum social responsibility criteria:

• No use of child labour
• No use of forced labour
• Safe and healthy working conditions
• Legal labour contracts
• Payment of living wage
• Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining
• No discrimination against employees
• No excessive hours of work

Climate Neutral Tees
Organic and ethically made, but crucially, manufactured solely using sustainable energy generated from wind and solar power, and low impact farming methods. Both the Anodiser and Breaker T-shirts are Climate Neutral. This means that these products have been manudactured with a 90% reduced Carbon Footprint (CO2e) according to the BSI PAS2050 and certified by the Carbon Trust

Organic products
Both the Anodiser and Breaker T-shirts are 100% organic, produced under the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and certified by The Control Union and The Soil Association.

Potato power! Biodegradable packaging
We use a source of biodegradable packaging for delivery made out of potato starch.
